Jonathan Stickland is a Conservative Republican representing Texas State House District 92. He supports limited government, transparency, limiting regulation and most importantly wants to represent the voters, not the lobbies. Since elected Jonathan has already introduced conservative legislation that will protect business's and his constituents.
Jonathan was born in Plano, Texas in 1983. At age 5, his family moved to Hurst. He attended elementary school at W.A. Porter before moving on to Smithfield Middle School. He went to Richland High School his freshman year and then decided to move to the new Birdville High School when it was completed at the start of 10th grade. After three years in high school he decided to graduate early and took his GED. He went straight into college and spent time at Tarrant County College and Parkland College studying sales and marketing.
Jonathan has held a job since the age of 16. Working and earning what you need and want is a value his father passed on to him from an early age, and is one that Jonathan has always taken seriously. Belief in personal responsibility is his lifestyle. After several years in college he entered a full-time sales position with Truly Nolen Pest Control in Fort Worth. He was then recruited by the small local pest control company Prime Pest Management where he held the position of Residential Account Manager. He earned his Pest Control Technician License with the state of Texas and learned the industry from top to bottom. Jonathan took the skills he had learned in his life and applied them by starting his own consulting business which he still runs today. Working with local oil and gas companies Jonathan provides crucial services on many different levels including data management, on-location oversight, marketing and sales of new exploration opportunities, and current producing interests.
Jonathan has been married to the love of his life Krissy since February, 2006. They met at North Pointe Baptist Church where both of their families attended. Family is the most important aspect of Jonathan's life, and he spends much of his free time with his two daughters Andi Michelle age 6 and Carli Anne age 3 1/2. The family has adopted three core principles that they strive to incorporate in everything they do - honor, faith and love.
Jonathan surrendered his life to Christ in 1989 at the age of 6. He was baptized at Harwood Terrace Bapist church that same year on Father's Day. He served in the youth department and in church camps while in college and the early part of his career. The Stickland family are active members of First Baptist Church of Hurst. Jonathan is a part of the church's One Life group and men's softball team. He is a member of the choir and currently helps teach the 5th and 6th grade boys Sunday School class.
