Representative Laubenberg is serving her sixth term in the Texas House. She is currently a member of the Public Health Committee and the Financial and Investment Services Committee, both important to maintaining the state's vibrant and growing economy. She has also served on Natural Resources, authoring and passing legislation to help secure water resources for North Texas.
Rep. Laubenberg has authored and passed numerous bills that have helped the state and her district, as well as addressing the needs of citizens. Most notably, during the 83rd Special Session, Jodie authored landmark pro-life legislation, HB2, "The Woman's Health and Preborn Pain Act".
Jodie is a sixth generation Texan, having family who settled in Texas in 1861. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Rep Laubenberg worked in the computer industry until choosing to become a stay-home mom thus devoting her time to family and community service. Jodie and her husband, Bob, live in Parker with their menagerie of dogs. They have two children, David, also a graduate of UT Austin, and Liz, a graduate of Mississippi College.
