Violation is punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment or a fine of up to $5,000.)

RI - HB6644 AN ACT RELATING TO CRIMINAL OFFENSES -- SEXUAL ASSAULT (Same as 21H-5141 -- Increases the age of children able to utilize a recorded forensic interview for cases of sexual abuse in grand jury testimony -- child assault from age fourteen (14) to age eighteen (18).)

RI - HB6658 AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION -- STATE TAX OFFICIALS (Same as 21H-5213 -- Changes the rate of interest for underpayments of tax to prime rate plus six percent (6%). Also limits the assessment of interest to four (4) calendar years prior to the date on which notice of the delinquent payment is sent.)

RI - HB7402 AN ACT RELATING TO DOMESTIC RELATIONS -- SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES (Requires returns of a marriage certificate to be filed within two (2) business days after the ceremony, and validates the common practice of filing the return by mail.)

RI - HB7409 AN ACT RELATING TO COURTS AND CIVIL PROCEDURE -- PROCEDURE GENERALLY -- CAUSE OF ACTION (Removes the statute of limitations for actions based on sexual abuse or exploitation of a child and would make eligible previously time barred actions.)

RI - HB7412 AN ACT RELATING TO ANIMALS AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY -- TRAVELING CIRCUSES PROHIBITED (Makes it unlawful to conduct, sponsor, walk, exhibit, or operate a traveling show or circus with that live wild or exotic animals in the State of Rhode Island. Violations would be punished by a fine of up to $500 and up to 30 days in jail.)

The act further provides that a seventeen (17) member board be appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.)
