+ − Biography
Rep. Jeff Boatman was elected to serve House District 67 in 2018 and proudly serves portions of Bixby and Tulsa.
His family moved to Tulsa when he was in elementary school. After growing up watching an aunt with a disability face multiple challenges and discrimination, Boatman realized the importance of making day-to-day life more accessible to people with disabilities, which remains one of his top legislative priorities.
Boatman, who holds a master's degree in Christian Counseling, is deeply passionate about mental health resources for Oklahomans.
He also develops legislation related to human trafficking, as his family has been impacted firsthand by human trafficking. Boatman worked with victim services providers, law enforcement and the Oklahoma Attorney General's office to create the Human Trafficking Response Unit, which operates a database to share information between the groups and creates training programs for law enforcement.
With a background in business and technology, Boatman works with legislative leadership and state leaders on business development and tax reform.
In 2022, Boatman was appointed vice chair of the House Special Investigative Committee to examine potential misuse of taxpayer money through vendor agreements in the Oklahoma Dept. of Tourism and Recreation. He also serves on the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency (LOFT) Oversight Committee, finding data-driven, solutions-oriented information.
He and his wife, Angie, are high school sweethearts and are active members in their church. They have three adult children, Keli, Joshua and Nicole, and are proud grandparents.
