State Representative Dale Mallory (D-Cincinnati) of the 32nd District continues a long family tradition of public service as the third Mallory elected to the Ohio House. His district includes part of his hometown of Cincinnati.
Rep. Mallory grew up on the West End of Cincinnati and graduated from Robert A. Taft High School. He and his five siblings learned to value serving your community from his mother Fannie, and his father, former Ohio House Majority Leader William L. Mallory, Sr. In 1996, the Mallory family was honored as the Black Family Reunion’s "Family of the Year" for its commitment to public and community service.
Rep. Mallory began his career as a shipping and receiving clerk at General Electric Aircraft Engines. He moved to component repair at GE, where he performed aircraft engine repair. He was then promoted to Manufacturing Facilitator, responsible for tracking production control activities and contacting vendors.
His passion for political service, coupled with his desire to protect people and help build the economy of the Queen City, led Rep. Mallory to the Ohio House. He is Ranking Member of the House Transportation, Public Safety, and Homeland Security Committee, and 2nd Vice President of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus. Other memberships are the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, and Local Government Committee. Rep. Mallory legislative interest is Workforce Development, Public Safety, Environment, Education, and Healthcare.
Back home, Rep. Mallory serves the community as a Precinct Executive and a Ward Chairman. Serving as former President of the West End Community Council, he worked with city leaders organizing efforts to revitalize historic Cincinnati neighborhoods. He also is the former President and member of the Arts Consortium of Cincinnati, Invest in Neighborhoods, the Safe and Clean Committee, the Development Fund of the West End, and the Miami Purchase Preservation Fund.
Representative Mallory received the Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio President’s award in 2010, the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging Consumer Advocate for Seniors award in 2009, and the 2008 Friends of the Farm Bureau Award.
