+ − Biography
Kenneth P. Zebrowski was first elected to the State Assembly in a special election on May 1, 2007. He was re-elected in 2008, 2010 and 2012.
A native of New City and a practicing attorney, Ken Zebrowski graduated from Clarkstown Schools before receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree Magna cum Laude in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany and his Juris Doctor degree from the Seton Hall University School of Law.
Prior to his election to the Assembly, Zebrowski served in the Rockland County Legislature and was active in the community serving on the board of directors of several not for profits and volunteered as a youth sports coach.
Professionally, upon his graduation from law school, Zebrowski founded the firm of ZEBROWSKI & ZEBROWSKI, PC with his father. Currently, he is �of counsel” to the firm BRAUNFOTEL & FRENDEL, LLC in New City, NY.
During his years of service in the State Assembly, Zebrowski has been a strong voice for taxpayers, children, seniors and the environment. Ken has sponsored laws that reduce unfunded mandates, cut government waste, foster business and job growth, keep prescription costs down for seniors and protect young athletes from the dangers of concussions.
Ken has been a consistent advocate for Rockland taxpayers by sponsoring legislation that reduces property taxes and championing policies that have fostered business and job growth. He has worked to pass on time budgets that cut waste and streamline services and has opposed ill conceived taxes like the job-killing MTA payroll tax.
He currently serves as the Co-Chairman of the Administrative Regulations Review Commission and as a member of the following committees: Codes, Environmental Conservation, Judiciary, Labor, Government Employees and Libraries.
The 96th Assembly District includes the entire towns of Clarkstown and Haverstraw and portions of the Town of Ramapo, including the villages of Pomona and most of New Hempstead.
