WEINER, Anthony D., a Representative from New York; born in New York City, N.Y., September 4, 1964; graduated from Brooklyn Tech High School, Brooklyn, N.Y.; B.A., State University of New York, Plattsburgh, N.Y., 1985; staff for United States Representative Charles Schumer of New York, 1985-1991; member of the New York, N.Y., city council, 1992-1998; unsuccessful candidate for mayor of New York City, 2005; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Sixth and to the six succeeding Congresses until his resignation on June 21, 2011 (January 3, 1999-June 21, 2011).
