+ − Biography
Representative Trish Gunby, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis County, including Manchester, Twin Oaks, and Valley Park in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected in a special election in November 2019.
Prior to her legislative service, Trish was an engaged citizen and was highly involved in issues relating to human rights and voting. This included volunteering with the Parkway School District and the St. Louis Area Voter Protection Coalition. Trish helped organize a district-wide Kids Voting Program within Parkway Schools, was the co-leader of West County Community Action Network’s Voting Rights team, and served as the Board Secretary with Women’s Voices Raised for Social Justice. Trish is a proud alumna of Parkway West High School and the University of Tulsa, where she studied political science and advertising. Professionally, she worked in project management at Citicorp and Purina before taking a step back to raise her two children, Kyle and Bryn.
Trish has lived in the 99th district for the last 26 years with her husband, Mark Gunby. She attends Manchester United Methodist Church and served as the Chairperson of their Leadership Board and the Social Justice Coordinator, where she focused on issues related to gun violence, hunger and poverty in the United States, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health, and racial justice.
