+ − Biography
Rep. Steve Helms, a Republican, represents part of Greene County, including part of Springfield (District 135) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2016.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Helms is an Insurance Broker. He previously served in the Army and as the Greene County Circuit Clerk.
Rep. Helms is a member of the Second Baptist Church of Springfield.
Rep. Helms graduated from Sarasota High School in 1984. He continued his education by attending Ozark Technical College and Austin Peay State University.
Rep. Helms was born in Fayetteville, NC. He currently resides in Springfield with his wife, Virginia.
