+ − Biography
Representative Richard West, a Republican, represents parts of St. Charles and Warren Counties (District 63) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2020. West is proud to be the mayor of New Melle Missouri and is currently serving his 4th term.
In addition to his legislative duties, West is a small business owner. Besides owning his own small business, West also retired as a law enforcement officer and criminal investigator of 21 years, and served 28 months overseas working as an international police advisor in Iraq.
West is a 1985 graduate of Bishop Du Bourg, and attended Western International University.
Born and raised in St. Louis, West resides in New Melle with his wife of 30 years, Lori. They have three children: Anthony, Megan, and Tyler.
