Rep. Nick King, a Republican, represents part of Clay County (District 17) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2014, and is serving as President of the Freshman Class.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. King is the President of King Marketing. He has held positions working in music education, business to business sales, insurance, and marketing.
Rep. King is a 1967 graduate of West Springfield High School in West Springfield, Massachusetts. He received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Montana State University in 1984, graduating with highest honors.
Rep. King has served as treasurer on the local homeowners association and two terms on the Liberty, Missouri City Council. Prior to his career in business, he served as a music teacher in Moore, MT.
Rep. King and his family attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Liberty, MO.
Born June 23, 1949 in Springfield, MA, he currently resides in Liberty with his wife Norma. They have five children, Stewart, Robyn, David, Rachael, and Samuel and 15 grandchildren.
