+ − Biography
Representative Mark W. Nolte, a Republican, represents Lafayette and Saline Counties, including the cities of Marshall and Higginsville, in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2024.
Born in Lexington, Rep. Nolte attended Lafayette County C-1 before graduating from the University of Missouri in December 1981 and later attending the University of Missouri School of Law. He is a professional land surveyor and has a distinguished career in his field, serving as past president of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors and receiving the 2011 Surveyor of the Year award. Rep. Nolte was also appointed by Governor Mike Parson to the Missouri Board of Registration for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Professional Landscape Architects. Rep. Nolte also served six years on the Lafayette County C-1 School Board.
Rep. Nolte and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Higginsville and have three children: Lily Nolte, Ariana Shockley, and Ashley Brown. With a strong background in land surveying and public service, Rep. Nolte brings valuable expertise and a commitment to his community to his work in the Missouri House.
