Rep. Kevin Engler, a Republican, represents part of St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, and Perry counties (District 116). He was elected to his first two-year term in 2002. He was then elected to the Senate in 2004 and re-elected in 2008. He served as the Majority Floor Leader for the Senate from 2009 to 2010. He was then re-elected to the House in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Engler is a registered representative for Edward Jones. He also served six years as Mayor of Farmington, Mo., and one year on the city council.
Rep. Engler has been awarded numerous awards including: 2011 Conservation Legislator of the year, St. Louis Business Journal 2010 Legislative Award, 2008 Legislation Leadership Award, Outstanding Service Award (Missouri State Council of Firefighters), Farmington Press Citizen of the Year Award, KFMO Super Service Award, and the KREI 110% Service Award. He is a member of several Chambers Of Commerce including Farmington, Ste. Genevieve, and Perryville. He is also a member of St. Joseph Church in Farmington, the Farmington Lions Club and the Farmington Elks Lodge. Rep. Engler has served as past president of Lions Club, Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph’s Parish Council.
A 1977 graduate of Festus High, Rep. Engler earned degrees in finance/general business and marketing from Southwest Missouri State University 1981.
Born June 23, 1959, in Festus, Representative Engler resides in Farmington with his wife, Chris. They have four children: Aimeé, Daniel, Andrew, and Joseph, and four grandchildren: Max, Basil, Evelyn, and Everett.
