+ − Biography
Representative Joshua Peters represents portions of north Saint Louis City (District 76) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the Missouri House in a special election held April 5, 2013.
In 2010, he graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln University, where he also became a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, The National Political Honor Society and served as President of the Student Government Association.
He served on the staff of United States Representative William Lacy Clay, Jr. for three years and then was appointed by President Barack Obama as a Confidential Assistant to the Under Secretary of Education.
Representative Peters serves as a local board member of the United States Selective Service System, as well as the Board of Directors for People’s Community Action Corporation.
Representative Peters is currently a member of the Cathedral Basilica Parish of St. Louis, Rotary International, and Congressional Black Associates.
Born August 25 in the City of St. Louis, he currently resides there.
