Rep. Chrissy Sommer, a Republican, represents part of St. Charles County (District 106) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected in a special election in November 2011 and took office in January 2012.
Rep. Sommer has over 35 years of experience in the private sector and has served as vice president of accounting, sales, and marketing for her family’s business and managed her husband’s CPA firm and professional office building.
Rep. Sommer has over 35 years of Community Service experience. As a JCI Senator and 10th Degree Jaycee, she served as the St Charles Jaycees President and numerous other positions. As a First Class Girl Scout and Marian Metal Award recipient herself, she has served as an Assistant Leader of Girl Scout Troop 4433 at Harvest Ridge Elementary, Cub Scout Den Leader Troop 971 at Harvest Ridge Elementary and Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 911 at Harvester Christian Church. She has also served on the United Way Chocolate Wine and Jazz Board and President of the Harvest Ridge PTO. She is on the Board of Advisers for FiveAcres Animal Shelter, a member of the St Charles County Republican Central Committee, a member of the St Charles County Pachyderms, a member of the First Capitol Lions Club, and a member of the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce.
Rep. Sommer is a graduate of Lindbergh High School. She received her associate’s degree in Business Administration from St. Louis Community College at Meramec and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Business Marketing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Rep. Sommer lives in St. Charles with her husband, Michael, and their two children.
