DISTRICT
State Rep. Andrea LaFontaine was first elected in November 2010 to the Michigan House and represents residents in portions of Macomb and St. Clair Counties including the cities of New Baltimore and portions of the cities of Memphis and Richmond, as well as the townships of Chesterfield, Casco, Columbus, Ira, Kenockee, Kimball, Riley and Wales.
EDUCATION
LaFontaine graduated from Richmond High School and then attended Central Michigan University where she earned a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in political science, legal studies and leadership studies. In the fall of 2011, LaFontaine earned her master’s degree in public administration from Central Michigan University.
PROFESSIONAL
LaFontaine has served as a legislative assistant and worked for nearly a decade at a local business in downtown Richmond.
PERSONAL
LaFontaine was raised in New Baltimore and Richmond, and now resides in Columbus Twp. She enjoys spending time in Michigan’s great outdoors, particularly fishing and boating on Lake St. Clair, Bluff Lake and around Tawas Bay. She is a member of the NRA, the National Wild Turkey Federation, MCRGO, and volunteers time working on home construction with Habitat for Humanity and participating in cleanup of local waterways.
