+ − Biography
A graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the University of Illinois at Springfield, Jimenez worked as a reporter for KHQA in Quincy and WICS in Springfield before taking a position as deputy director of communications for the Illinois State Treasurer's office. She worked as press secretary for the Illinois House Republican caucus and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Program Communications for the Illinois state comptroller's office. Jimenez most recently worked as chief of staff to Illinois First Lady Diana Rauner.
She was elected to a term on the Springfield Park District Board in 2011and was an advocate for parks and recreation opportunities in Springfield while navigating tough economic times. She and her husband live in Leland Grove with their twin sons.
