David S. Olsen was elected to and served on the Downers Grove Village Council from 2013 to 2016 and as Mayor Pro Tem from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, he was appointed to fill a vacancy on the College of DuPage Board of Trustees and was elevated to the role of Board Vice Chairman. Apart from his elected positions, Representative Olsen serves on the Board of Directors for the District 58 Education Foundation and is an active member of his local Chamber of Commerce. Representative Olsen's professional background is as an ethics and compliance officer in the commodities trading industry. He is a 2011 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned degrees in Finance and Management and also served as Student Body President.
