State Representative Bob Thorpe is in his second term in the House where he serves as the Chairman of the Government and Higher Education Committee and also sits on the Education, Federalism and Rules Committees.
Mr. Thorpe was born in 1957 and raised in Burbank California and now lives in Flagstaff with his wife, Donna. He has two grown children, Robert and Elizabeth. He comes from a business background that includes Walt Disney as an “IMAGINEER”, Price Waterhouse, the aerospace industry, where he built simulators for Apache helicopters. He has been a small business owner and has also been an instructor of computer science on the college level. He has worked extensively in the field of software and website development as well. He is well known as a constitutional expert.
He has authored a book on the Constitution called, “Reclaim Liberty”, built his own energy efficient home from the ground up, climbed numerous mountains including Mt. Whitney and Popocatapetal, goes on weekends to help round-up cattle on the Navajo Reservation, and became a volunteer firefighter/EMT in his late 40’s. He is very active in many conservative political groups. He enjoys outdoor activities of all sorts and is an avid sportsman.
