Senate Committee Amendment No. 2
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. In the fee splitting provisions of the Medical Practice Act of 1987, (i) allows 2 or more licensed health care workers to each receive adequate compensation for concurrently rendering services to a patient and to divide the fee for such service whether or not the worker is employed, (ii) makes changes in the provisions describing the entities that may pool, share, divide, or apportion the professional fees and other revenues, and (iii) makes technical changes. Adds the same provisions to the Optometric Practice Act of 1987. Effective immediately.
