House Amendment 003
Exempts, from the application of the statutes of limitation and repose governing civil actions arising out of acts or omissions in the design, planning, supervision, observation, management, and construction of or improvement to real property, those actions that are based on personal injury, bodily harm, or death resulting from the discharge into the environment of asbestos (instead of "any pollutant, including any waste, hazardous substance, irritant, or contaminant (including, but not limited to, smoke, vapor, soot, fumes, acids, alkalis, asbestos, toxic or corrosive chemicals, radioactive waste, or mine tailings").
House Amendment 002
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Exempts from the application of the statutes of limitation and repose governing civil actions arising out of acts or omissions in the design, planning, supervision, observation, management, and construction of or improvement to real property those actions that are based on personal injury, bodily harm, or death resulting from the discharge into the environment of any pollutant, including any waste, hazardous substance, irritant, or contaminant.
House Amendment 001
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Clerks of Courts Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning process.
Senate Amendment 001
Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the provisions of the introduced bill, and makes the following changes: (i) deletes language providing that the awards shall be appropriated each year by the General Assembly; (ii) provides that the awards shall be distributed to the Clerks of the Circuit Court in the counties in which the facilities are located (instead of counties where the additional staff is employed); (iii) provides that the total reimbursement for any county may not exceed $5,000 per year; (iv) in the definition of "State correctional institution", removes a reference to juvenile facilities; and (v) provides that the same reimbursement provided in connection with the operation of State correctional institutions and treatment and detention facilities established under the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act shall also be paid in connection with the operation of facilities administered by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
