Senate Amendment 001
Amends the provisions allowing peace officers to list their office or work address on their driver's license, identification card, or applications for the same to provide a definition of peace officers. Defines peace officers as "any person who by virtue of his or her office or public employment is vested by law with a duty to maintain public order or to make arrests for a violation of any penal statute of this State, whether that duty extends to all violations or is limited to specific violations."
Senate Amendment 002
Amends the Section on the issuance of driver's licenses to provide that a peace officer may elect to have his or her office or work address listed on the license instead of the applicant's residence or mailing address. For purposes of this Section defines peace officer as any person who by virtue of his or her office or public employment is vested by law with a duty to maintain public order or to make arrests for a violation of any penal statute of this State, whether that duty extends to all violations or is limited to specific violations.
