House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that once a school or other entity has obtained a copy of a certified copy of a child's birth certificate, the school or other entity need not request another such copy for any other year in which the child is enrolled in that school or other entity.
House Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Missing Children School Records Act with the same provisions as contained in the bill as introduced and in House Amendment No. 1. Also provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion. Effective immediately.
